That was great reading how your mom cleaned your chimney! I usually have ours cleaned once a year, but we haven't used ours for a couple of years. I think the year that a squirrel jumped out when we lit a fire was when we decided to start having it cleaned. The squirrel came out of the fireplace, then curled up under the coffee table and went back to sleep. LOL
